Job summary

TheraPeds Partners in Highlands Ranch, CO is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a school-based role for the October 2026–May 2027 term. The position is on-site with a 37–39 hour week and a 5-day schedule, serving high school students with individualized instruction and IEP responsibilities.

You will collaborate with district staff, families, and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, complete evaluations, and ensure IDEA compliance while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• State teaching certification in Special Education (Colorado).
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Ability to provide individualized and differentiated instruction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fingerprinting and background clearance.
• Ability to collaborate with students, families, educators, administrators.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Provide individualized instruction tailored to students' needs.
• Manage caseload and coordinate services.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and collect data toward goals.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain records.
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, multidisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families.
• Support accommodations and strategies across environments.
