Job summary

E-Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to join our Thornton, CO team for on-site instruction serving K-8 students. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with March 2026 start and cross-license licensing assistance.

You will develop IEPs, deliver core and functional instruction, and collaborate with families and school staff to promote academic and personal growth in a supportive, virtual/on-site mixed setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid state teaching license or certification in Special Education.
• Experience teaching students with disabilities in a school setting.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in state of residence/teaching.
• Experience in teletherapy or online instruction (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide instruction in core subjects and functional skills with adapted materials.
• Use evidence-based practices and assistive technologies to support learning.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide accommodations.
• Maintain documentation of student progress and IEP meetings.
• Participate in IEP and student support team meetings.
• Guide paraprofessionals and other staff supporting students.
