STEM School Highlands Ranch is seeking a full-time SPED Educational Assistant to provide dedicated one-on-one support to a student. The role is scheduled for up to 40 hours per week during the school year, working with teachers, student-support staff, and school leadership to support academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong commitment to student learning and development.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Responsive and proactive communication with students and faculty.
• Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate individual support to ensure student safety and engagement throughout the school day
• Provide proactive behavioral support during classroom activities, transitions, and less-structured or unscheduled times, including arrival, dismissal, passing periods, lunch, recess, and other common-area activities
• Implement the student’s individualized behavior and safety plans with consistency and fidelity, as directed by the student-support team
• Collect and maintain accurate documentation related to behavior, interventions, transitions, and student progress
• Support the student’s participation in classroom activities, transitions, and common areas
• Collaborate with teachers, student support teams, and administrators
• Follow school policies, confidentiality standards, and directions from staff
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support school operations
