Job summary

STEM School Highlands Ranch is seeking a full-time SPED Educational Assistant to provide dedicated one-on-one support to a student. This position is scheduled for up to 40 hours per week throughout the school year.

The employee will work collaboratively with teachers, student-support staff, and school leadership to support the student’s academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide attentive, compassionate individual support to ensure student safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong commitment to student learning and development.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Responsive and proactive communication with students and faculty.
• Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate one-on-one support to ensure student safety and engagement.
• Support proactive behavioral management during classroom activities, transitions, and unscheduled times.
• Implement the student’s individualized behavior and safety plans with consistency and fidelity.
• Collect and maintain accurate documentation related to behavior, interventions, transitions, and student progress.
• Support the student’s participation in classroom activities, transitions, and common areas.
• Collaborate with teachers, student support teams, and administrators.
• Follow school policies, confidentiality standards, and directions from staff.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support school operations.
