Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience writing and implementing IEPs.
• Knowledge of SPED best practices and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver standards-aligned instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Create and implement IEPs and provide individualized, small-group, and co-taught instruction.
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support using evidence-based strategies.
• Monitor student progress, assess learning, and adjust instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records and service documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and school staff to support student success and inclusion.
• Stay current on special education practices and participate in professional development, meetings, and school activities.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
