Job summary

Oak Hill Montessori Community School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to design and deliver specialized instruction for students with disabilities and to facilitate IEP processes in collaboration with families and service providers.

In a small school setting with built-in due process support, you will manage a light caseload, adapt materials, and work closely with staff to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and transition strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education required; Masters preferred.
• Must have a valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license.
• AMI Montessori training preferred.
• Two years of experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement specialized programming to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Plan and facilitate the Individualized Education Plan process.
• Confer with parents and service providers to develop IEPs.
• Create engaging learning materials tailored to each student.
• Provide instruction to improve academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
• Direct paraprofessional staff and collaborate with school teams.
• Ensure due process timelines and complete special education paperwork.
