Oak Hill School is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping students with diverse learning needs. Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; 18 years+; valid driver’s license; strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow instructional plans; compassion, patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude; ability to safely assist students with mobility and personal care needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals outlined in their IEPs.
• Work one-on-one and in small groups to reinforce classroom instruction.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Encourage student independence while implementing individualized behavior support plans.
• Assist with classroom observation and documentation of student progress.
• Provide personal care support, including toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, transferring, and other daily living activities as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Assist students during transportation and school transitions when necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and other educational professionals to promote student success.
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications, including V-Endorsement.
• Apply the ARC principles (Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency).
