Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for a school setting in Billingsley, AL. You will implement specialized instruction, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure progress toward IEP goals.

The role emphasizes standards-based teaching, data-informed instruction, and strong family engagement within Autauga County Schools for the 2026-2027 year. Experience in school-based settings is valued.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Professional certificate in the area of responsibility issued by the Alabama State Department of Education.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• School-based experience preferred, not required.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver standards-based instruction aligned with the Alabama Course of Study (ACOS) and develop engaging lesson plans for diverse learners.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with multidisciplinary teams to meet student goals.
• Facilitate IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing family communication.
• Utilize differentiated instruction and educational technology to maximize engagement and achievement.
• Assess student progress with formal and informal evaluations and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment with effective behavior management and policy enforcement.
• Maintain accurate student records and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional meetings and additional duties as assigned.
