Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-based instruction aligned with the Alabama Course of Study (ACOS), developing engaging lesson plans for diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with multidisciplinary teams to address goals and accommodations.
• Facilitate IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing communication with families and staff.
• Utilize differentiated instruction and educational technology to maximize engagement and achievement.
• Assess student performance with formal and informal evaluations and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and enforce school policies.
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support overall school operations through collaboration with colleagues and participation in meetings.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver standards-based instruction aligned with the Alabama Course of Study (ACOS), developing and implementing engaging lesson plans to support diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student goals and accommodations were effectively addressed.
• Facilitate IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing communication with families, educators, and support staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Utilize differentiated instruction, educational technology, and a variety of instructional resources to maximize student engagement and achievement.
• Assess student performance through formal and informal evaluations, using data to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Establish and maintained a positive classroom environment by implementing effective behavior management strategies and enforcing school policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate student records, documentation, reports, and compliance requirements in accordance with federal, state, district, and school regulations.
• Support overall school operations through collaboration with colleagues, participation in professional meetings, and completion of additional duties assigned by school and district administrators.
