Job summary

Caldwell County Primary School is seeking a Full-Time Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning needs, assist teachers in implementing IEPs, and help create an inclusive classroom. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 48 college hours or paraeducator exam.
• Experience with children, especially in special education, is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patience and empathy in supporting diverse learners.
• Ability to work in a team and follow directions from staff.
• Knowledge of special education laws and practices is a plus.
• Proficiency with technology and educational software.
• Ability to lift and assist students as needed.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with IEP implementation and student support.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support in the classroom.
• Help with daily living skills and behavioral management.
• Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to support learning.
