Job summary

Idaho Arts Charter School in Nampa, Idaho, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional for a full-time position. Paraprofessionals work 7.5 hours per day, 170 days per school year, supporting students with diverse needs under the guidance of the Special Education Teacher.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred college coursework or an Associate’s Degree in education or related field, plus experience as an aide or in teaching.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or 2 years of college coursework preferred.
• Experience as aide or in teaching preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Knowledge of child growth and needs of children with disabilities.
• Ability to instruct students one-on-one and in small groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group support under the Special Education Teacher.
• Assist with classroom activities and behavior management as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff and students.
