Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a skilled Small Engine & Fleet Mechanic in New Jersey to maintain, repair, and service landscaping equipment and company trucks. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and keeping gear ready for daily use.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, can work independently, and will contribute to safe, productive crews. ASE certification is a plus; valid license required. Competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing small engines and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair issues independently.
• Valid driver's license; ASE or formal training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and equipment.
• Service lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other gear.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, filters, tune-ups.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, ignition, hydraulic issues.
• Maintain company trucks and trailers.
• Keep records of repairs and parts.
• Ensure equipment is safe and ready for daily use.
• Order parts and coordinate with crews.
