Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to support students in the classroom and during activities. You will interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa to ensure full participation and accessibility for students.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating Communication: Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa to ensure the student can fully understand and participate in classroom activities and discussions.
• Supporting Academic Success: Interpret lectures, instructions, and multimedia content to help the student engage with the curriculum.
• Encouraging Social Interaction: Facilitate communication between the student and peers to support social development and inclusion.
• Providing Accessibility: Interpret during extracurricular activities, assemblies, and events for equal access to school life.
• Collaborating with Staff: Work with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to tailor strategies to the student’s needs.
