Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Idaho Falls is seeking a Dining Room Server for a full-time position. The role involves delivering high-quality meal service, relaying orders to kitchen staff, and providing exceptional resident-focused service in a gracious environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, understanding resident dietary needs, and adhering to safety standards. Training and periodic meetings are part of the job with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Knowledge of ADA, infection control, health department and OSHA standards.
• Experience in dietary or food service in health care or restaurant preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist with special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene and sanitary standards.
• Oversee bistro areas including presentation, cleanliness, and stock.
• Know daily specials and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn resident names and dietary needs; ensure proper service temperatures.
• Participate in trainings, orientation and mandatory meetings.
