Job summary

Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Laporte, PA is seeking a full-time Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging programs. This role includes every other weekend and every other holiday, guiding activities under the Activity Director.

You will help plan, develop, organize and implement the activity calendar, encourage participation, and assist with resident councils. A creative, outgoing personality and the ability to motivate residents are ideal.

Qualifications

• Creative, outgoing personality ideal; ability to motivate residents to participate in activities and events.
• Strong planning and organizational skills for activity programs.
• Ability to work under supervision of the Activity Director.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the activities program
• Assist in recording and maintaining records of resident's participation in activities
• Assist with outside activities and groups for the residents
• Conduct scheduled activity programs in a timely manner according to the monthly activity calendar
• Assist residents to and from the area where the scheduled activity is held
• Assist with Resident Council Meetings
