You will assist with personal care, medication reminders, transportation, and recreational activities, while observing safety and infection control practices. A high school diploma or GED and a willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet in-service training requirements.
• Must desire to work with seniors while upholding privacy, dignity, independence, and individuality.
• Must be able to organize and use time appropriately to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work well with others and function effectively as part of a team.
• Must be well-groomed and willing to follow dress requirements.
• Must have a cheerful, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn new knowledge/skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must have a general understanding of the needs of seniors.

Responsabilités

• Provides resident services including personal care, medication reminders, social and recreational activities, meal services and other tasks as needed.
• Adheres to a philosophy that respects residents' dignity, privacy and independence.
• Reviews and follows resident Service Plans and notes changes.
• Assists with medications and treatments as indicated and allowed by regulation.
• Responds to emergency calls and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment through housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Encourages resident participation in individual and group activities.
• Reports changes in resident needs or health status per procedures.
