Qualifications

Job description

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Senior Automotive Mechanics for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. Full-time Senior Automotive Mechanics will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Senior Automotive Mechanics mentors and oversees team members’ technical deliverables to ensure customer standards are met. This position is based out of Greer, SC and offers an AM day shift. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Full-time Senior Automotive Mechanics position below are strongly encouraged to apply.

Shift:

• AM day shift: Starting at 10:00 AM; shifts may last up to 12 hours (Monday – Friday, weekends as needed)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures
• Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and is available as a subject matter expert to assist the team and customers
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
• Lead daily shop organization and clean-up

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a Mechanic
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certificate in Automotive Technology or related
• State Mechanic Certification(s)
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers
• Ability to work overtime as needed including weekend
