Monocacy Aquatic Club, based in the heart of Frederick, MD, is home to over 200 dedicated swimmers. We are celebrating our 50th Anniversary in the 2025-2026 season. Our mission goes beyond the pool—we aim to inspire young athletes to succeed in life through the pursuit of excellence in swimming. With high level coaching and a strong emphasis on personal growth, we help our athletes reach their full potential both in and out of the water. We train at the beautiful Hood College campus, located in Frederick—Maryland’s fastest-growing county (only 1 hour from Baltimore and D.C. Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Head Coach, this FULL-TIME salaried position is responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing a high-quality training program to meet the needs of the assigned groups. This coach is the primary point of contact for the swimmers and parents in the assigned practice groups, and must always act with professionalism. Our team philosophy is that coaches strive to do what is necessary to achieve the goal of providing a positive, effective, and motivating experience for ALL swimmers and families.
Job Responsibilities:
Primary coach at all practices in assigned practice group(s).
Attend and coach at all meets attended by swimmers in assigned practice group(s).
Create and implement the season plan for assigned practice group(s).
Plan, record and execute all practices for assigned practice group(s).
Keep accurate attendance for all practices.
Complete meet entries for swimmers in assigned practice group(s).
Detailed communications with group families (including a weekly group email).
Administrative duties as assigned by the head coach.
Helping with team events and activities.
Compensation Package:
Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
Annual Bonus
Supplemental meet pay.
Mileage pay to/from meets.
Dues forgiveness for coach’s children
Reimbursement of all certifications needed to maintain USA Swimming Coach Membership.
Paid Vacation (2 weeks off in August, 1 week off in April)
Qualifications:
Enthusiastic and highly motivated team player.
Coaching experience at the club or collegiate level. Preferably with swimmers 12-18.
Current USA Swimming coach certifications.
Passion for helping swimmers develop and reach their fullest potential.
Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
Educated on current training and technique principles. Motivated to continue learning and growing as a coach.
