Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring immediately for a Full Time Security Officer in Alabama, 3rd shift, 10:00PM to 6:00AM, Monday through Thursday. This role emphasizes professional customer service, sound judgment, and vigilance to protect people, property, and assets across client sites.

You will patrol, monitor CCTV and access points, greet residents and visitors, enforce rules, and document activities. We offer training, internal advancement, and licensing support to grow your career with us.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Valid state licensing.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum of one year of security experience.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from premises when deemed necessary.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of a visitor’s arrival.
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft, and/or other criminal behavior.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Warn violators of infractions, e.g., loitering, smoking, and/or possession of prohibited items.
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms, and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or the presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders.
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents).
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed.
• Other duties as determined by management
