Job summary

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers for the 3rd shift in Birmingham, AL. Officers patrol, monitor access points, verify IDs, respond to alarms, and maintain logs to deter incidents through vigilance and proactive engagement.

This full-time role requires professionalism and calm under pressure. Training is provided at the state minimum wage where allowed by law; weekend availability and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain a valid security officer license as required by the state.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Alabama Security Regulatory Board License preferred; able to obtain licenses.

Responsibilities

• Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct walking patrols to identify safety concerns and report them.
• Incident Response & Reporting: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol; maintain logs.
• Customer Service & Policy Enforcement: Assist visitors and employees; enforce site post orders and policies.
• Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with client policies (smoking, loitering, parking).
