Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time School Social Worker for a K–12 school setting in Canon City, CO. You will provide counseling, crisis support, and collaboration with school teams to support students' social-emotional well-being. In-person, 1.0 FTE, starting August 2026.

We welcome both new and experienced clinicians. The role offers W-2 employment with liability insurance, healthcare benefits, 401(k) with company match, licensure reimbursement, mileage between sites, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Valid Colorado CDE Special Services Provider license with School Social Worker endorsement or eligibility by start date.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis response skills.
• School-based experience preferred, not required.
• Passion for supporting students’ mental health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and social-emotional development
• Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning as needed
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings
• Conduct assessments related to social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Support attendance, engagement, and wraparound services for students and families
• Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
• Connect families to community resources and supports
