Norristown Area School District in Norristown, Pennsylvania is hiring two full-time Staff Nurses for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves coordinating with the certificated school nurse, contacting families, and arranging referrals, screenings and medical reviews as needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure is required.
• CPR Certification required.
• FBI, Criminal Background, and Child Abuse clearances.

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical first-aid services in the absence of the Certificated School Nurse in accordance with District guidelines and standards of school nursing practice.
• Electronic Health Records management.
• Conduct state-mandated height/weight screening for all students and record results.
• Administer medication per District guidelines.
• Examine students returning to school after illness or absence.
• Screen students with symptoms and exclude per District guidelines.
• Initiate contact with parents/guardians regarding absences for medical reasons.
• Provide health services for students with special medical needs.
• Schedule students for screenings and physical examinations as directed.
• Coordinate transportation arrangements for sick/injured children.
• Compile accident reports for review by the Certificated School Nurse.
• Prepare first-aid kits for offices and field trips.
