Job summary

A local school district in Harwood Heights is seeking a full-time General Maintenance worker. This role requires HVAC experience and encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including maintaining the school's physical facilities and ensuring emergency preparedness. The ideal candidate will possess general knowledge of building maintenance and have or be pursuing appropriate HVAC licensing. The hourly rate ranges from $20 to $25, with benefits including paid leave and insurance.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of all phases of building maintenance.
• Experience in HVAC either in private fields or as a maintenance worker in a school district.
• Must have a valid driver’s license as required by law.
• Must have or be in the process of obtaining a Type II refrigeration license or Universal license.
• Must have knowledge of working with computers.
• Must have knowledge of working with Building Automated Systems (BAS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical school plant in excellent operating condition.
• Respond to emergency situations as required.
• Assist with student and staff security.

Skills

General knowledge of all phases of building maintenance
