Job summary

A local school district in Harwood Heights is seeking a full-time General Maintenance worker. This role requires HVAC experience and encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including maintaining the school's physical facilities and ensuring emergency preparedness. HOURLY RATE & BENEFITS:

GENERAL FUNCTION:

To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• General knowledge of all phases of building maintenance
• Experience in H.V.A.C. either in private fields or as a maintenance worker in a school district.
• Must have a valid driver’s license as required by law.
• Must have or be in the process of obtaining a Type II refrigeration license or Universal license.
• Must have knowledge of working with computers.
• Must have knowledge of working with Building Automated Systems (BAS).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to speak in a clear and understandable manner and write legibly.
• Ability to lift in excess of 100 pounds.
