Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance preferred
• Experience in building maintenance or similar role
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance practices
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Physical stamina for lifting, climbing ladders, and manual labor
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Background check and drug screening may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Assist in setup and takedown of equipment for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and supplies.
• Collaborate with staff to prioritize tasks and complete them timely.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety regulations and district policies are followed.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist in developing and implementing a preventive maintenance program.
• Participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
