Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Completion of 2-hour asbestos awareness training within 60 days of employment.
• Completion of Red Cross First Aid Course including CPR within 60 days of employment.
• Must be able to read and understand job and product directions.
• Must be dependable, honest, and reliable.
• Must pass a general physical examination.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Regulate HVAC for appropriate temperatures and economical use of resources.
• Check daily that exit doors are open during occupancy hours.
• Sweep classrooms daily and dust furniture.
• Clean corridors and restrooms daily; disinfect fixtures and drinking fountains.
• Wash windows inside and outside as required.
• Maintain school grounds and perform yard upkeep.
• Keep floors clean and in good condition; clean chalkboards as needed.
• Make minor building repairs and report larger repairs promptly.
• Stay on campus during school hours and when required by building operations.
