Job summary

Teays Valley Local Schools is seeking a dedicated Custodian for Ashville Elementary (3:30 PM–MID) to maintain a healthy, safe school environment in the assigned building. You will perform custodial tasks and basic maintenance following safety requirements.

The role reports to the Principal/Custodial Supervisor and requires regular full-time employment, with a starting wage of $21.55 per hour and responsibilities across building maintenance and grounds in Ashville, OH.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• BCI and FBI background checks are satisfactory.
• Ability to lift up to 57 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students and protect equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Perform minor repairs including glass, electrical, wood, metal, and painting.
• Maintain inventory of custodial equipment, supplies, and request materials when needed.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, or vacuuming.
• Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after hours and checking the security system.
