Cotopaxi Consolidated Schools is seeking a Custodial - Classified Position to oversee cleaning and maintenance across district facilities in Cotopaxi, Colorado. The role is full-time, with benefits, and salary described as on the classified salary scale.

Starting date is immediate and the position allows for some flexibility between full-time and part-time options. The successful candidate will perform daily cleaning tasks, restroom maintenance, floors, and general upkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Detail toward all cleaning and disinfection requirements.
• Maintain classrooms and common areas to a high standard as established.
• Daily detail of restrooms and locker rooms.
• Assist in cafeteria and other areas as assigned by supervisor.
• Clean, dust, and straighten desks; clean counters, sinks, water fountains, whiteboards, blinds, furniture, walls, windows, mirrors, base coves, floors, carpets, and other items as needed or assigned.
• Vacuum, shampoo, sweep, strip, buff, mop floors and stairs as directed.
• Move, relocate and transport material, furniture, and equipment as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by faculty and staff to include lockers, doors, lighting, desks, clean up, etc.
• Assist with safety drills, scenarios and real-life situations as needed and directed.
• Clean hazards, including bodily fluids, spills, etc. per best practices and current regulations.
• Snow removal, lawn care and weed removal as needed.
• Follow all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing equipment and materials.
• Report building and facility issues immediately to supervisor.
• Assist and work with maintenance services on repair and upkeep of the building.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
