Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking a Custodian to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the Upper Moreland Elementary Center. The role is full-time, 12 months, and reports to the Custodial & Warehouse Supervisor (1st Level) / Facilities Director (2nd Level).

The position requires at least a high school diploma, two years of custodian experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly (50 pounds occasionally).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of prior work experience as a custodian.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of bathrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Cleans assigned areas, empties trash, dusts, sweeps, mops daily.
• Operates scrubbers and waxing equipment for heavier cleaning as needed.
• Secures facility as directed.
• Assists with light painting as directed.
• Shovels/salts walking surfaces and maintains surrounding areas.
• Reports for duties during inclement weather as required.
