Job summary

Orono Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Custodian to keep our campus clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and the community. This 8-hour/day position offers steady full-time hours, competitive wages, and a chance to contribute to a positive school environment.

The role includes ground maintenance, routine and project cleaning, set-up and takedown for activities, and a commitment to reliable, detail-oriented work in varied conditions. Excellent teamwork with staff is expected.

Qualifications

• Focus on details and commitment to doing a good job required.
• Experience cleaning in a commercial setting preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk, twist, bend, stoop, climb stairs and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in varied conditions (dust, cold, heat, humidity, indoors/outdoors).

• Perform ground maintenance routine and project cleaning of assigned areas.
• Assist with set-up and takedown of school activities.
