Job summary

South Fremont High School in Saint Anthony, Idaho is seeking a full-time custodian to join the Fremont School District facilities team. This position offers 40 hours per week and benefits, with a starting date of immediately. Pay depends on experience, and the role reports to the School Principal.

Primary duties include upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and basic maintenance throughout the school. Required qualifications include a high school diploma preferred, ability to read/write at least 9th

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Read and write at a minimum of a 9 th grade level.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Physically capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Ability to work with staff, students and the public.
• Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Regulates heat/ventilation and air conditioning to maintain appropriate temperatures.
• Shovels, plows, and sands walks, driveways and steps as needed.
• Checks exit doors and panic bolts during occupancy hours.
• Sweeps and vacuums classrooms daily; dusts furniture.
• Cleans corridors after school and as needed during day.
• Cleans bathroom floors and fixtures daily; disinfects.
• Washes windows as assigned by Head Custodian.
• Maintains grounds; may perform yard work to keep grounds safe and attractive.
• Maintains floors and chalkboards; reports major repairs.
• Opens/closes building daily; ensures doors/windows are secured.
• Moves furniture as directed; assists with maintenance tasks.
