Job summary

Learn It Academic Services seeks a School Counselor to support students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being within a collaborative school team. You will use your counseling expertise to help students navigate challenges, plan for the future, and thrive at school.

As part of LEARN Academy, you’ll contribute to evidence-based supports for students from diverse backgrounds and work with teachers and families to promote meaningful progress across campuses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in school counseling from an accredited program.
• School experience preferred.
• Additional teaching certification or state education credential may be required.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling addressing academic, career, and personal/social development.
• Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Advocate for students during IEP meetings and other student-focused discussions.
• Maintain accurate records, connect families with outside resources, and stay current with counseling best practices.
