Job summary

SSC Services for Education is seeking a full-time janitor for the Greencastle, IN area. The role involves cleaning floors, walls, windows and other surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment within the school district.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
