Job summary

SSC Services For Education is hiring full-time janitors for Greencastle Community Schools at 1002 Mill Pond Lane, Greencastle, IN 46135. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 3:30 pm–12:00 am, with flexibility for scheduling needs.

Pay range is $15.25–$15.50 per hour. Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required. SSC provides a comprehensive benefits package and same-day pay, plus training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy cleaning duties as described in the job post.
• Must comply with federal, state and county guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers and colleagues.
