Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring for a full-time janitor position at Westfield Washington Schools, 18250 North Union Street, Westfield, IN 46074. Shifts are 3:00 pm–11:30 pm with some locations within the district. Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties and floor care.
• Collects and disposes of trash following procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors as directed.
• Moves equipment and furniture for cleaning and returns them to place.
• Cleans assigned areas with appropriate materials and sanitizes surfaces.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture and baseboards to maintain a safe environment.
• Performs tasks per supervisor instructions and follows guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team with professionalism and reliability.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
