Job summary

Compass Group USA, through SSC Services for Education, is hiring for full-time and part-time GROUNDSKEEPER positions in Greencastle, IN. The site is Greencastle Community Schools (1002 Mill Pond Lane). Shifts run Monday–Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with opening flexibility for scheduling needs.

Primary duties include lawn maintenance, pruning, planting, and general grounds care. Prior groundskeeping experience is preferred, and a valid Non-CDL Class C license is required.

Qualifications

• Prior groundskeeping experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers grounds and plant maintenance; grows schedules and propagates plants.
• Trims, prunes and removes scrubs, bushes and trees; performs landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Mows lawns, weeds flowerbeds, and cleans landscaping tools after use.
• Inspects exterior of property and communicates deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
