Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy seeks an Outreach Athletic Trainer to support Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School in Bridgewater, NJ. The role covers athletic training services and related administrative tasks under state licensure and professional standards.

The AT will collaborate with the leadership team, physicians, and educators to ensure safe, compliant care for student-athletes and to support JAG’s outreach contracts with ongoing education and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• CAATE‑approved athletic training degree and BOC certification required.
• BOC CEU requirements must be maintained (50 CEUs every 2 years).
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey as an Athletic Trainer and DOE certificate.
• Maintain personal liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage an effective athletic training program for the contracted site.
• Provide AT services for athletic events and competition.
• Create a safe playing environment by monitoring environmental risks.
• Coordinate medical and risk management for athletes, including preventative care.
• Maintain health records and HIPAA/FERPA-compliant documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, coaches, and outreach staff.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE Approved)

BOC certification

NJ Department of Education Certificate

Maintain Personal Liability Insurance
