Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Outreach Athletic Trainer to serve Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School in Bridgwater, NJ. The AT provides athletic training services and related admin tasks under state licensure and professional standards.

The role requires NJ athletic trainer license, BOC certification, NJ Department of Education certificate, current BLS, and ongoing CEUs. You’ll support injury prevention, emergency care, documentation, and collaboration with PT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE Approved).
• BOC certification completed.
• Maintain BOC CEUs (50 every two years).
• NJ Athletic Trainer license and NJ Department of Education certificate.
• Current BLS certification and maintain personal liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for the contracted organization.
• Provide AT services for events and coordination of medical and risk management.
• Documentation of injuries and care in adherence to standards and HIPAA/FERPA guidelines.
• Collaborate with PT staff, coaches, athletes, and communities on health and fitness topics.
• Assist with administrative duties and department growth projects as needed.
