Job summary

Ganir & Co. Pacific Rim Commercial Services, Inc. is seeking a Runner to maintain the cleanliness of hotel china, silverware and cookware while supporting guests and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight. You will assist with linens and guest amenities delivery, inventory stock, and basic bed-making when needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of hotel china, silverware and cookware; ensure prompt delivery of requests.
• Deliver linens, towels and guest amenities to guest rooms and landings.
• Check storerooms for availability and safe condition of bed rails, cribs, high chairs, pack & plays.
• Assist with unloading shipments and stocking duties.
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies and equipment.
• Assist with making guest beds when room attendants are off-shifts.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and property policies.
• Practice safe work habits and use required protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Job description

A Runner is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china,

silverware, and cookware. This person must have good communication skills and be able to lift,

pull, and push a moderate amount of weight. This is a fast-paced position that will involve customer

interaction. Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags, and proper guest

greeting. Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests and colleagues as appropriate.

Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with

privacy policies, practices and regulations. Impresses hotel partners with quality and timely service in a

pleasant and friendly manner.

Qualifications Required:

• Previous work in a team environment preferred
• Basic knowledge/awareness of safety hazards and safety practices
• Must be ableto understand directions and instructions given in English
• Must be able to work in the United States of America legally

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for making sure all requests are delivered promptly
• Responsible for making sure items delivered to guest rooms are fully functional & clean.
• Responsible for checking storerooms for availability of bed rails, cribs, high chairs, pack & plays & ensuring they are in safe condition
• Responsible for delivering linens, towels, & guest amenities to all housekeeping landings
• Will also be trained to make guest beds while room attendants areoff-shifts
• Assists with unloading shipments, dating items, and putting items away.
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Perform machine work and stocking duties as necessary.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to the property and Ganir’s expectations.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow SDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
