Job summary

Brio Living Services is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Kresge Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea, MI. The role is a night shift, full-time (36 hours/week) with an every other weekend rotation, delivering direct nursing care, meds administration, and patient monitoring.

Responsibilities include updating care plans, ensuring infection control, guiding nursing assistants, and coordinating admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of Michigan.
• CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with the frail and elderly.
• Tasks involving more than 50 lbs require assistance or assistive equipment.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).

Schedule: Full-Time 36 hours/week | 6:30pm-7:00am | Every Other Weekend Rotation

Pay Range: $40.01 - $47.44/hr. (this rate is inclusive of the $3.40/hr. Michigan Skilled Nursing Facility Direct Care Worker Pass-Through approved rate; current approval through September 30, 2026)

Shift Premiums: Beginning 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, $1:90 | Beginning 10:31 pm -7 am, $1.35 | Weekend Fri, 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm, $1.00.

What You'll Do:

As a Registered Nurse at Kresge Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, you'll provide direct, hands-on nursing care focused on quality, treatment, and resident comfort. You'll administer medications, perform treatments, monitor vital signs, and assess residents to identify changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with the care team.
In this role, you'll observe and respond to residents' needs, support care plan updates, and help maintain a safe, compliant environment through proper documentation and infection control practices. You'll also play a key role in supporting and guiding nursing assistants while helping ensure smooth daily operations, including admissions and discharges.
Your clinical expertise and attention to detail will help deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for each resident while maintaining the standards of care expected in a skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Direct Nursing Care - Administer medications, perform treatments, monitor vital signs and wound care.
• Conduct Health Assessments - Evaluate residents and report changes in condition to the clinical team.
• Monitor and Adjust Care Plans - Observe residents for adverse reactions or side effects and update care plans accordingly.
• Coordinate Interdisciplinary Care - Work with teams to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Supervise and Mentor Staff - Oversee nursing assistants and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Document Resident Care - Complete daily and monthly records accurately, reflecting care provided and resident responses.
• Manage Admissions and Discharges - Perform admission and discharge procedures as directed.
• Maintain Medical Records - Keep accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Ensure Safety and Infection Control - Follow all protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Prevent Spread of Illness - Adhere to proper infection control procedures at all times.
• Engage in Ongoing Education - Maintain certifications and stay current with best practices.
