Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
• Current registered nurse license in the State of Texas.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Willingness to be crossed trained to other areas.
• Organizational skills are necessary.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice.
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately.
• Maintain detailed and accurate nursing records.
• Participate in education and performance improvement activities.
• Provide support and communication with patients and families.
