Job summary

ALDI store in Dundalk, MD is hiring a full-time store associate to merchandise, stock, cashier, and keep the store clean. Starting wage is $19.50 per hour with scheduled increases to $20.00, $20.50, and $21.50 over five years.

You’ll deliver friendly, attentive service and follow ALDI policies while supporting curbside and in-store operations. Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma preferred and retail experience, dependable attendance, and the ability to work with others and

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and stock products and maintain shelves.
• Operate the POS system to scan and process purchases.
• Assist in curbside pickup orders and store operations.
• Adhere to cash policies and merchandising planograms.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues with management.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean store environment.
• Support management in achieving efficiency and loss-prevention goals.
