Job summary

ALDI USA is hiring a store associate to perform merchandising, stocking, cashiering and cleaning to keep the store in top condition. You’ll enhance the customer shopping experience by collaborating with the ALDI team and providing exceptional service.

The role is full-time with average 30+ hours per week, starting wages at $20.50/hour with step increases in years 2–5. Benefits include insurance, vacation, and parental leave; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Uses the POS system to scan and process purchases accurately.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Follows line policy and opens additional check lanes as required for efficiency.
• Stocks shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms.
• Completes curbside pickup orders accurately and delivers to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintains zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assists management in achieving operational efficiency and loss goals.
• Identifies hazards and maintains a safe working environment.
