Job summary

Mercy San Diego is seeking a full-time Respiratory Care Practitioner in San Diego, CA. The incumbent will collaborate with caregivers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care actions, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.

The role requires current California RCP licensure, AHA BLS certification, and at least 1 year of acute care experience. Strong English skills and computer literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Prefer one or more years acute care experience.
• Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• Technically competent in department skills inventory.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate action for respiratory care.
• Perform all technical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care.
• Perform other core responsibilities to maintain the flow of patient care.
• Utilize computer systems in performing position duties.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality control, preventative maintenance and performance improvement activities.
