Job summary

Mercy San Diego is seeking a full-time Respiratory Care Practitioner in San Diego, CA. The incumbent will collaborate with caregivers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care actions, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.

The role requires current California RCP licensure, AHA BLS certification, and at least 1 year of acute care experience. Strong English skills and computer literacy are essential.

Job description

This is a full time, benefited, RCP position at Mercy San Diego. The shift is a 12 hour varied shift with 60 hours per 2 week pay period.

Intra-Unit: Must be a current Scripps Employee at Scripps Mercy in the RCP Department for consideration

In collaboration with other caregivers, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates action for respiratory care. Performs all technical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care. Performs other core responsibilities to maintain the flow of patient care. May provide additional patient care within their scope of practice as permitted by licensure, certificate or training. Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in quality control, preventative maintenance and performance improvement activities.

Experience/Specialized Skills:
