Job summary

WellStone is seeking a Registered Nurse to evaluate patients for emergent care needs within our Adult and Pediatrics Unit in Huntsville, AL. You will document medical progress and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations during a 12-hour shift on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 8am–8pm.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, discharge planning, supervising a Behavioral Aide, monitoring medications, delivering crisis intervention when needed, administering IM injections, and

Qualifications

• Valid Alabama RN license.
• CPR and SAMA certification (or ability to obtain).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs for patients.
• Prepare discharge planning.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will evaluate our patients for emergent care needs and support our therapeutic team within patient treatment plans in the Adult and Pediatrics Unit. Documenting the medical progress and notes while keeping up with all state and federal regulation.
