Job summary

EANM in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse in the Operating Room to provide dedicated surgical care in a fast-paced ophthalmic setting. You will circulate or scrub, supporting anesthesia, and maintaining sterile technique to ensure patient safety.

ACLS and BLS certifications are required (training provided) and knowledge of AORN standards is preferred. This role offers growth within a collaborative team and comprehensive benefits upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current NM RN license.
• Experience in the operating room or outpatient surgery preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (ACLS/BLS training provided).
• Knowledge of AORN standards and surgical asepsis.
• Strong clinical judgement and ability to prioritize in high-volume settings.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub during ophthalmic and oculoplastic procedures.
• Support anesthesia induction, emergence, and airway management; monitor for changes and initiate emergency response when needed.
• Ensure proper sterile technique, instrument use, and room turnover.
• Accurately document care and administer medications per protocols.
