Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an All-Star Dietitian to join the Clinical Nutrition team and float across inpatient units, including ICUs and General Pediatrics, at the Arthur M. Blank Hospital in Atlanta.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to the right candidate. Responsibilities include nutrition assessments, therapy planning, education for patients and families, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RD registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Georgia licensure as a dietitian.
• If RD/LD not currently held, must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Determine nutritional assessment using age-appropriate standards.
• Recommend medical nutrition therapy and evaluate response.
• Instruct patient and family on nutrition therapy with age-appropriate education.
• Include family/caregiver in care and provide education.
• Advise groups on pediatric nutrition and community outreach as needed.
• Document all activities per departmental standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team.
• Direct and evaluate dietetic interns/students.
• Maintain ongoing professional development.
• Perform additional duties including committee participation and competencies.

We are looking for an All-Star Dietitian to work in our multidisciplinary Clinical Nutrition team at our state-of-the-art Arthur M. Blank Hospital. This Dietitian will float to all of our Inpatient units including ICUs and General Pediatrics.

We are pleased to offer the right candidate a $5,000 sign on bonus to start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced in pediatric populations
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Medical Dietetics, or related field

Certification Summary

Current Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Georgia licensed dietitian.

If dietitian does not currently possess RD and/or LD credential, must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Recommend appropriate medical nutritional therapy for assigned patients and evaluate response to medical nutritional therapy and determine change.
• Instruct patient and family related to nutritional therapy which incorporates age-appropriate developmental standards.
• Include family/caregiver in patient care and provide effective education appropriate for learning needs of patient and family.
• Advise groups related to pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as required.
• Implement departmental standards for documenting all aspects of work-related activities.
• Participate as member of interdisciplinary team.
• Direct and evaluate dietetic interns/students.
• Maintain professional development responsibilities.
• Perform other responsibilities as required, including but not limited to departmental committee participation and annual competencies.
