Job summary

Cura Hospitality in Whitfield, MS is hiring a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents and implement interventions to improve wellbeing and nutritional status.

You will educate staff, adhere to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, collaborate with departments on care planning, and contribute to quality improvement programs. A bachelor's in nutrition is required; a master's is preferred, plus CDR exam eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the CDR or meets eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experiencedFull-Time Registered Dietitianto our healthcare team inWhitfield, MS. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:.

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience.
