Job summary

Cura Hospitality seeks a Part-Time Registered Dietitian at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving quality of life for residents and patients, with a schedule of 16-20 hours per week (1-1.5 on-site days and 1 remote day).

You'll align with nutrition practice standards, educate staff and patients, and support continuous quality improvement in a hospital/long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field, required.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field, required.
• Pass the national exam or meet eligibility requirements.
• Complete 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning.
• Ability to teach nutrition concepts to others.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experiencedPart-Time Registered Dietitianto our Cura Hospitality team inNatchitoches, LA. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.*This position will be scheduled 16-20 hours per week, 1 - 1 1/2 days on-site and 1 day remote, covering the NRMC location and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.*

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
